2. Provision of the website

If you only use the website for informational purposes, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise provide us information (e.g. via a contact form), we collect the following technical information (log file data):
 
• Operating system of the device with which you visit our website
• Browser (type, version & language settings)
• the amount of data retrieved
• the current IP address of the device with which you visit our website
• Date and time of access
• the URL of the previously visited website (referrer)
• the URL of the (sub) page that you call up on the website
• the Internet service provider of the accessing system
 
The collection of this data is technically necessary in order to display our website to you and to guarantee stability and security. We (and our service provider) regularly do not know who is hiding behind an IP address. We do not merge the data listed above with other data.
 
The storage in log files ensures the proper functioning of the website and also serves to improve the security of our systems. Any further evaluation of this data (e.g. for marketing purposes) does not take place in this context. The data stored by Dole Europe GmbH will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. This is the case after six weeks at the latest. A further storage is possible. In this case, the users' IP addresses are deleted or alienated so that they can no longer be assigned to the accessing client.
 
We have a legitimate interest in the collection and processing of data pursuant to Article 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR in conjunction with Section 25(2) TTDPA. Our legitimate interest lies in providing the content of our website and ensuring data security.


3. Data processing in the context of application procedures 

a. Scope of the processing of personal data
As part of the application process, i.e. when you register or otherwise provide us with information, we only process the personal data from you that is related to your application and that is required to determine your professional and personal skills in relation to the vacant position.
These can be:
  • General personal data (such as title, name, address, date of birth, nationality, marital status and contact details)
  • Information about your professional qualification (such as work experience and language skills), education and professional development (or other information about your professional career)
  • Additional information (such as starting date, desired salary and application details)
  • General skills (such as international experience, driver's license, MS Office and other skills)
  • Other data that you provide to us in connection with your application.

b. Legal basis and purposes for processing personal data
We process the data under 3 a). mentioned for the purpose to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship and - insofar as an employment relationship between you and us will be initiated - for the implementation or termination of the employment relationship and for the exercise or fulfillment of legal rights and obligations on the basis of § 26 BDSG. In addition, we can process personal data about you insofar as this is necessary to assert or defend against legal claims from the application process. The legal basis for this is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the preservation of our legal positions.Your data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for operational purposes, hence no later than 6 months.
 
The application tool is provided and hosted by a partner based in the European Union as part of an order processing service (rexx Systems GmbH, Hamburg). Dole Europe GmbH has commissioned the partner in accordance with the data protection regulations

c. Duty to provide
You are not obliged to provide us with personal data. However, depending on the individual case, the provision of certain personal data is necessary for a decision on the establishment and implementation of an employment relationship with us. In order to be able to process your application, we ask for certain information - other information is voluntary. The mandatory information is marked with an asterisk (*). These data belong to the data categories of personal identification, qualification, address and applicant data. If you do not provide us with the mandatory information, you will unfortunately not be able to apply to Dole Europe GmbH. If you only provide us with the mandatory information and do not provide any additional information, this will not lead to disadvantages in the application process.
 

4. Cookies

This website uses so-called "cookies", which serve to make the Internet presence more user-friendly, more effective and more secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer system. We would like to point out that some of these cookies are transferred from our server to your computer system, mostly so-called "session cookies". "Session cookies" are characterized by the fact that they are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of the browser session. Other cookies remain on your computer system and enable us to recognize your computer system on your next visit (so-called permanent cookies). 5. Job Alerts

We provide you with the option of registering a “job alert” on our website. The data entered in the input mask will be transmitted to Dole Europe GmbH and saved. In addition, the user's IP address as well as the date and time of transmission are saved at the time of sending. There is no transfer of the data to third parties. The data will only be used to send the "job alerts". Participation in the "Job Alerts" can be revoked at any time.
 
The legal basis for processing your data is Article 6(1) sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out based on your consent before its withdrawal.
Your data will be deleted once the purpose no longer applies, hence no later than 12 months.
 

6. Transfer of personal data / recipients

Within Dole, only those persons have access to your personal data who need it for the purposes mentioned under Section 3. We only pass on your personal data to external recipients if there is legal permission or if we have your consent to do so. External recipients can be:
  • Data Processors: service providers that we use to provide services, for example in the areas of technical infrastructure and maintenance of our IT systems.
  • Public bodies: Authorities and state institutions, such as social security agencies, courts or authorities, to which we have to transmit personal data based on legal requirements.
  • Private bodies: tax consultants, insurance companies or similar supporting functions to whom data is transmitted on the basis of consent or a legal basis
 

7. Deletion and storage

We will delete your personal data after the application process has expired, at the latest after 6 months, unless legal permission or your consent (e.g. for the application pool) permit longer storage. In both cases, we delete your personal data when the legal permission no longer applies or after the consent has been withdrawn.
For statistical purposes, certain basic data is reduced to core data and stored in an anonymous form permanently (such as: reason for rejection, salutation, professional experience, type of entry, entry date, knowledge of English, year of birth, desired salary, notice period, nationality, gender, entry date, place, actual entry, how did you find us..).
 

8. Rights of the data subject

If your personal data is processed, you are a data subject within the meaning of the GDPR and you have - subject to certain restrictions - specific rights with regard to your personal data. This includes the right:
  1. to access your personal information or request a copy of your personal information (Art. 15 GDPR)
  2. to ask us to correct any incomplete or inaccurate personal information we hold about you (Art. 16 GDPR)
  3. to restrict the processing of your personal data (Art. 18 GDPR)
  4. to object to the processing of your personal data that is carried out in the public interest, on the basis of our legitimate interests or those of a third party or for direct marketing purposes (Art. 21 GDPR)
  5. to request the deletion of your personal data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  6. to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and to have this data transmitted to a data controller of your choice (Art. 20 GDPR)
  7. to revoke your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time if our processing is based on your consent (Art. 7(3) sentence 1 GDPR)

9. Data security

We have taken extensive technical and operational security measures to protect your data from accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. Our security procedures are regularly reviewed and adapted to the technological progress.
 

10. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to change or adapt this Privacy Policy at any time, taking into account the respective applicable data protection regulations.
