What to expect:

  • Coordinate, submit and release DEG retailer annual SAQ questionnaires
  • Coordinate customer specific requirements like carbon footprint or follow-up of any customer specific project
  • Coordinate DEG customer specific sustainability audit visits include pre-visits and follow-up on non-conformities
  • Map DEG sourcing base and keep track of its sustainability certification status
  • Coordinate IDH living wage data collection - salary matrix and report by customer
  • Prepare data collection for sustainability annual report for DEG (carbon footprint, water and biodiversity risks filters, other non-financial metrics) – ESG
  • Follow any other data requirements from various customer portals (Ecovadis, topo, any ad-hoc request)
  • Attend customer workshop to increase sustainability knowledge
  • Participate in corporate sustainability events as needed
  • Establish DEG specific fact-based reports on carbon footprint for example
  • Promote local initiatives for DEG (waste, recycling, etc.)

Required skills:

  • University degree in Business Administration (Foreign Trade) or comparable education 
  • First responsible experience in Quality Management preferably in perishable products and in customer relations
  • Solid knowledge of fundamental post-harvest fruit quality and food safety& risk issues, as well as ripening and import processes
  • Affinity for numbers and a thorough understanding of the CSR area 
  • Strong communication skills at all levels inside and outside of the organization
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Builds strong relationships with clients and external actors, conducts oneself in a professional business manner
  • Strong ability to multi-task, time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and as a team as required
  • Open minded, solution oriented, flexible - adapts well to quickly changing priorities
  • Engaged, strong willingness and able to work under strict deadlines and pressure
  • Preferably fluent English in communication and writing, knowledge of a further language (Spanish) appreciated
  • Excellent knowledge of Web portal, Business Central and Cognos, all standard Windows and MS Office applications
